| It is with sadness that we let you, Penny's collectors know that Penny McAllister passed away in March, 2010. She was a good friend and one of our favorite artists at Traditions. Each time Penny visited Traditions for our in store folk art signing events, her collectors were so thrilled to meet her and see her wonderful art in person. We will never forget the WIND STORM that came through our portion of Los Angeles at one event, wreaking havoc with all of the tents we had outside for our folk artists. Things were blowing everywhere, folk art rolling down the street and Penny just grabbed as many of her pieces as she could, marched inside our store, plopped down in front our fireplace and said, "I will sign in here!" Her fans were laughing with her and helping grab the folk art that was being blown about. Penny will be missed.......as will her whimsical folk art. We offer our love and sympathy to Penny's family. She was a true inspiration, with a fun sense of humor, as you can see in her creative art. |
Welcome to my Penny McAllister's wacky world of fun & funky
papier mache creations! All this fun started about four years
ago when she decided to make gifts for Christmas presents.
One thing lead to another and soon she found herself an editor's
pick in the October 2001 Country Living, and being selected
to be in one of the top 100 folk art shows in the country.
Needless to these collectibles are truly fun folk art and a
wonderful addition to your collection!
