Bells have a long standing association with Christmas. Of course there are the bells rung during Christmas mass in most churches, but carolers also carry them when they are serenading local homes and businesses. Perhaps the most famous reference to bells is in the song Jingle Bells. Did you know it was the first song to be broadcast from space in December, 1965, when the astronauts used a harmonica and sleigh bells they had smuggled on board the Gemini 6 spacecraft to play the song to mission control! Our bell ornaments aren’t as famous as the song Jingle Bells, but they sure look beautiful on your tree!
