From Old World Christmas. When the Magi came in search of Jesus, they learned Herod intended to kill the "King of the Jews" because he felt his power was threatened. An angel appeared to Joseph and warned him to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt. This event is considered the final chapter in the Nativity. Here we see Jesus, Mary and Joseph on a donkey as they flee to safety.
