ITEM #: 36171 Ferris Wheel Ornament by Old World Christmas
Material: Glass & Glitter
An Old World Christmas glass ornament. A simple ride yet such a complex machine, the Ferris wheel was first invented by George Washington Gale Ferris Jr. for the 1893 Chicago World's Fair. Over the years they have grown in size, the tallest being the High Roller in Las Vegas at 550 feet tall, but many smaller ones still travel the country. Often decorated in colorful lights, this ornament captures the fun bright colors of the amusement park ride, with multi-colored passenger cars stationed around the wheel. Hang this on your tree to commemorate that trip to the carnival or first date at the county fair!
