From Old World Christmas. The Ukulele is a Hawaiian version of a Portuguese stringed instrument brought to the islands by immigrants in the 19th century. It quickly became Hawaii's most popular musical instrument, and a favorite of King Kalkaua. Many start learning to play the Ukulele as a beginning instrument since its easy to pick up (literally!) and its melodies are both unique and fun! A pink hibiscus flower adorns this wonderful glass Ukelele ornament, which captures the stout neck and rich brown color of the instrument.
