When the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland in Anaheim opened in 1969, our family had the rare opportunity to participate in a sneak peak of the park's newest ride.  We went into the elevator that slowly 'stretches' taking your down to the main part of the ride, I guess this is where they find out if they have 'kinks' in the ride because the doors wouldn't open for hours and that lightening and scary skeleton was hanging from the ceiling for what seemed like forever!  We lived to tell the tale, but if you’ve ridden the Haunted Mansion ride on the different Disney properties you will recognize these five ghoulishly-funny statuary busts. The Singing Busts Set/5 by Department 56 is made from hand painted resin. This quintet loves singing their favorite song, “Grim Grinning Ghosts” for you. The Singing Busts are five individual characters, each have their own personality and vocal pitch, creating a perfect harmony. They are painted to look like the real porcelain busts and their bases rest on flocked mounds of grass It is a Lighted Village Accessory, as part of the new line for the series.
