A Cody Foster Ornament. Probably not the snack that most people would think of to satisfy their hunger, but this small oily fish is a treasure trove of health benefits! The Sardines Tin ornament is a fun representation of a food staple of the Mediterranean diet, which is where the name "Sardine" came from. Off the coast of Sardinia, sardines, which are a part of the herring family, were harvested in abundance in the 15th century, hence the name was born. Today they offer health conscious people a dosage of omega-3, vitamin D, selenium, B12 and many other nutrients that reduce inflammation in the body.
