ITEM #: NB1071b Turquoise Day of the Dead Skull Ornament by Kurt Adler
Material: Glass & Glitter
This turquoise sugar skull ornament is decorated in the style of the Mexican holiday Day of the Dead and is embellished with swirls of color, hearts and flowers. Just like the sugar skulls that are famous during the celebration, this painted and glittered turquoise skull has a flower surrounded by a heart in the middle of the forehead with flowers and glittered designs all over the skull. The eyes are filled with pink glittered hearts outlined in green and as always it has big, white grinning teeth. Besides being a fun ornament to hang on your Halloween or Christmas tree, it does have a meaning too! Day of the Dead, or Dia de los Muertos is a Mexican holiday that brings families and friends together to pray and remember the loved ones who have passed away to help support their spiritual journey. It is believed the gates of heaven open to allow the spirits of the deceased to reunite with their families during the holiday.
