The legend of saltwater taffy comes from a candy shop being flooded during a storm, soaking all the sugary delights in salty ocean water. Some of the candy was jokingly offered to a young girl who was looking to buy taffy. Apparently, it was a treat that she couldn't refuse, and so Salt Water Taffy was born! Regardless of the salty candy’s origin, it quickly became a seashore favorite enjoyed for over a century. These charming little salt water taffy ornaments are a wonderful reminder of youth and sweet treats from the past!
