Soon after the Pilgrims, who traveled to what is now America from England to escape the Church of England's practices, came into contact with the indigenous peoples that were living around the area, the Native Americans (or as they were know at the time, Indians) began cultural exchanges with the Pilgrims. The American Thanksgiving is a celebration between the Pilgrims and Indians sharing the bounty of the season. Each Indian in this pair of resin figures is dressed so festively in the tones of the harvest season while carrying baskets of vegetables and fruits to share with their fellow settlers.
