There’s a light glowing from the upper window of the mansion, but no one seems eager to answer the door. That’s probably for the best, what stands outside the gate isn’t looking for candy. Uninvited Guest is a 500-piece Halloween puzzle filled with eerie detail and a creeping sense that someone, or something, is watching.

A full moon illuminates the landscape, illuminating the twisted trees and shattered gravestones with icy silver light. Outside the gate, a robed person stands motionless with a scythe in hand. On top of the stone columns, jack-o'-lanterns glow, their faces flickering more warningly than welcoming. While a witch flies by the moon, silhouetted against the cloud-choked sky, bats scatter through the murky air.

Deep shadows are cast by the gothic mansion's towers and gables. Some of the windows are broken, some are boarded, and none of them are inviting. Broken angels, skeleton remains partially buried in the mossy earth, and forgotten tombstones abound throughout the yard. A black cat crosses the wrought iron fence, pausing just long enough to stare directly forward, as if daring you to keep going.

At 18 by 24 inches, this puzzle is a satisfying challenge, with twisted branches, weathered stone, and foggy layers that demand close focus and patience. Each section reveals something new, a lost soul drifting near the crypt, a raven lurking among the headstones, an open door at the top of the stairs that probably should have stayed shut.

Uninvited Guest adds an eerie feel to your puzzle table, making it perfect for a calm October evening. It's a gradual slide into shadows where every component fits precisely and at the proper moment, whether you approach it alone or with others. Make sure that your own door is shut and keep the lights dim.
