The New Orleans Saints are a professional football team based in New Orleans, LA and they compete in the NFL, National Football League. Beginning to play in 1967, the Saints' name comes from All Saints Day, celebrated November 1st in the Catholic faith. They finally won their only Super Bowl appearance thus far in 2009 against the Indianapolis Colts.
